Mentioning the Unmentionables
Ladies, let's have a little discussion about the unmentionables, your underwear. Have you ever noticed someone with the cutest outfit on but the obvious panty line kills it? Unfortunately, we see it all the time. Your undergarments are the groundwork for your awesome wardrobe. Ill-fitting underwear can ruin the most amazing outfit. Your under garments can help with the body type war also. The right bra and underwear can both give you that extra lift you may need.
Bras
After a little research, I found out that up to 85% of women are wearing the wrong size bras. How do you know if you’re not wear the right sized bra? Here are some clear signs that your bra size is an issue.
- If your underwire is sitting away from your body, you need to go up a size or two
- Your cup size is too small if your breasts are bulging over the top, bottom, or the sides
- Are your straps digging into your shoulder? You need to go down a band size. The straps are doing too much of the work.
- If your cups are gaping or wrinkling? You need to go down a cup size.
You should have both nude and black bras. The problem with patterns and bright colors is they tend to show through your clothing.
Bottoms
As for the bottoms, I try to stick to black and nude as far as colors. It’s easier to always have a matching set if you stick to theses colors. You can through in the other colors to add a little spice to things.
The biggest thing to point out with underwear is the whole panty line issue. Let’s try not show them. Listen, seamless underwear can be your best friend. They will give you full coverage without the pesky panty line problem. I’m not a big fan of thongs, but there are times they are absolutely necessary. Hey, if you’re comfortable with them, they will definitely keep you panty-line-less.
Shapewear
No matter your size shapewear can be the best piece to add to your wardrobe. Shapewear provides you with a smooth and more toned appearance. Let’s say you have this really cute sheath dress. Well those rolls around your middle could really take away from the look you’re going for. Spanx or whatever brand fits you best can give you that more polished look. Trust me ladies, shape wear is your friend.
I know all my readers are aware of everything I just wrote. We wouldn't dare be caught with visible panty lines. I have a full length mirror in my closet. I make sure to do a check before I step out of the house. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments. You can also reach out to me on social media.
