Four Colors You Should Have in Your Closet for Spring/Summer 2017
Spring is here and it is time to break out the bright and pastel colors. Pantone released their Spring/Summer 2017 Color Report earlier this year and there are four colors I feel we all should have in our closets. My faves from the color report are Pale Dogwood, Pink Yarrow, Kale, and Lapis Blue.
Pale Dogwood (Pantone 13-1404)
“Pale Dogwood is a quiet and peaceful pink shade that that engenders an aura of innocence and purity.” Laurie Pressman, Pantone
This is a surprise favorite of mine. I have never been a pink girl and when I wear it is typically more on the Pink Yarrow side. This blush pink has definitely caught my eye and will bring a softer side to my closet.
Pink Yarrow (Pantone 17-2034)
“ Pink Yarrow is bold, attention getting and tempestuous” Laurie Pressman
Pink Yarrow is my absolute favorite out of all the colors with Kale running a close second. As Laurie stated in her description, this color is an attention getter.
Kale (Pantone 18-0107)
“A lush and fertile natural green shade” Laurie Pressman
Kale is my second favorite color in this year's Spring/Summer color report. I have quite a few pieces that are this color in my closet now. While it is most definitely a neutral , it will add a pop of color to any outfit.
Lapis Blue (Pantone 19-4045)
“Strong and confident, intense shade of blue” Laurie Pressman
I consider blue as foundation color. Whereas I normally stick to more of a navy blue, I love this more intense shade.
