Fashion Trends You Should Try This Spring/Summer

You guys know I believe in the 70/30 Rule when it comes to trendy pieces. My closet is 70% classic and functional, 30% trendy. I think you should definitely add a few trendy pieces to your closet each season to keep your closet fresh and up to date. There are three trends this season I feel you should add to your closet. They are definitely in mine.

Fringe Jeans

Fringe hem jeans have been a popular trend since the Fall. You can find this trend in several different washes and you can also find them distressed (another fav trend of mine) which adds a little more funkiness to them. Whereas, this trend has been in for a few months and across a couple seasons, I would still be reluctant to pay a huge amount for them. Don’t laugh but I found mine at Fashion Nova. They may not last as long as a pair of quality denim, but they are cute and fit great. That’s all that really matters to me when it comes to a more trendy piece.

Bell Sleeves

Bell Sleeve are a really big trend right now. Whether it’s a bell sleeve top or dress, I can’t get enough of this trendy style.

Ruffles

Ruffles are another style that’s definitely in right now. Now this trend is one you have to be careful with. Overdoing it with ruffles can border on being a little tacky. Check out some of the ways I think you can rock ruffles without looking over the top.
