I think you should definitely add a few trendy pieces to your closet each season to keep your closet fresh and up to date. There are three trends this season I feel you should add to your closet. Spring is here and it is time to break out the bright and pastel colors. Pantone released their Spring/Summer 2017 Color Report earlier this year and there are four colors I feel we all should have in our closets. My faves from the color report are Pale Dogwood, Pink Yarrow, Kale, and Lapis Blue.
The way to have a fully functional wardrobe is to build your basic pieces. Your basics should be more classic pieces that are timeless and not trendy. Limiting the amount of trendy pieces you purchase will keep you from feeling like you have nothing to wear when those trends are no longer in style.
